Bath time is Gwen's remedy. Last week we were both sick with strep throat and had flu like symptoms. After getting over that she broke out in dry spots on her legs. We went to the doctor and found out she has Eczema. Her skin is really sensitive and dry. I guess we need to live somewhere humid! We all probably deal with this to some extent living in Utah. Chase laughs at how much lotion I lather on!
Gwen could be in the tub for hours, although i'm sure it contributes to her dryness. I love to watch her laugh and splash in the water. She's a cutie!
our little steele has eczema too. poor little skin!! winter months are the WORST with dry skin. gwen is so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteOk so here are a couple secrets!! I have lived with eczema my whole life! Millions of prescriptions and tried so many different things BUT i have a couple tips. OIL! I use baby oil still to this day. Every time I get out of the shower I lather up and then I have a prescription for my face ( i get it on my eyelids) but i would just use baby lotion on her face. The trick to the oil is don't dry her off completely after the tub. Leave her skin a little damp (she might not like it cause it can be a little cold) and put the oil on. It helps to seal the moisture. It's worth a shot! Good luck!
