San Diego

Gwen and I took a girls trip to La Jolla. We had to leave Chase behind because he had school. We couldn't pass up a vacation to the beach. My family spoiled us.
Every morning I took Gwen on a stroll down the beach. She was obsessed with the birds. She would point at them and make sounds.

My mom and I took Gwen to see the seals. Right off of our hotel there is a little cove with tons of seals. They are so noisy and make the funniest sounds. Gwen got a kick out of watching them.

San Diego is beautiful! I would love to live there someday.

Gwen was a little hesitant about the sand at first, but once she warmed up to it she couldn't get enough. Here's my little stander. She is getting so close to walking!

She enjoyed playing at this swing set on the beach. My mom taught her how to scoop up the sand and put it in her bucket.

She went down the slide and swung on the swings. She was so happy!

It was overcast for the most part and when the sun would come out we had to take advantage. Nothing gets better than a sunny day at the beach!

The battery on my camera died the first day. So I had fun doing a photo shoot on my phone. Not the best quality, but will have to do.

The beach and Tennis club where we stayed had a beautiful pond that was surrounded by ducks. Gwen was in heaven. She could stay and watch them for hours.

Here we are watching Mike, Tanner, and David getting ready to surf the flow rider at the wave house on mission beach. My brother's are so coordinated. They all conquered the wave!

Me and Lex went to the cutest cupcake store in downtown La Jolla. They weren't as delicious as Cocoa Bean in Provo, but the presentation was great. I love cupcakes!

We played tennis and golfed. Gwen retrieved our balls.

Hot tubbing with grandpa.

Gwen missed her daddy. They had a good little snuggle when we got home and before I knew it they were both asleep.

  1. I love the pictures. What a wonderful time with your family! I love the last one too, with Gwen and her daddy asleep. I've shot a couple of Bryce doing the same thing, so sweet.
